All week is a solemnity. This Octave is a powerful time of grace, of new life and the Lord’s mercy that is unleashed on Divine Mercy Sunday. For that feast of God’s goodness, I will be out at Sacred Heart parish in Polonia for confessions. Confessions will be heard from Noon until 3 pm. The Chaplet, procession and Mass will follow.
Thursday I will be in La Crosse for the Dean’s meeting. I think I can do that drive in my
Sleep; not that I am going to try that! Also coming up will be a presenter from the local St. Vincent de Paul Society who will share a little of what they are doing and asking for our support. They are located at St. Bronislava parish but serve the whole community reaching out to those who are in need in a very personal way.
Next week we will see Fr. Todd moving on to St. John the Baptist parish in Marshfield.
Keep that whole transition in your prayers. We all know moving and starting again is never an easy thing. After Divine Mercy Sunday is the spring priest retreat for our diocese. Many priests take advantage of this. The Redemptorists will be hosting us at their retreat center. I will be gone that whole week for the retreat. Other priests wish to take their retreat elsewhere or at other times of the year. Things are in good hands as our retired priests will be around to offer the sacraments, so keep priestly vocations in your prayers. Prayers and a powerful witness of married life as a source of joy and way of sanctification is also what the world needs as priestly vocations come from families.
May the Risen Lord fill our lives with His eternal life, grace and peace.
