I am very grateful for all who were involved with my 25th anniversary. My family enjoyed the day, thank you for making them feel welcome. All the hard work was enjoyed by all who attended. So too for the picnic, again what great teamwork all the way around for such a successful event we can all be proud of.

Our new sign out front is greatly appreciated thanks to the generosity of the Gary Glodoski Family in memory of Sandy. The upgrades to our kneelers to assist in our devotion to the Blessed Sacrament is much appreciated, thanks to the Koch family. Many of you were generous in your support of Fr. Gus and the work of the Mission Cooperative 2024 in Ghana. Thank You!

Last Sunday the diocese held the “Priests for Tomorrow” event in La Crosse. It brings people from all over the diocese who support vocations to the  diocesan priesthood. Keep all the young men that God is calling in your prayers. This coming Thursday will be the first Dean’s meeting that Bishop Battersby will lead since his installation as our shepherd. After Mass I will drive down to La Crosse and spend the day there for that event.

Looking ahead to the upcoming school year; for some it will be going back to something that was done and for some it will be a new thing.  Tuesday mornings at 8 am will have the Middle school joining parishioners for that Mass with the music, readers and servers being the school children. What a great opportunity to celebrate, young and old, as the Body of Christ. I also add the caveat that a portion of the middle school student body is not catholic, so your witness to them of ‘what a Christian Community is’ will be important.  Additionally, many of the catholic students are members of many of the neighboring parishes and even outside of our deanery.

There is always much to look forward to and much to be grateful for.   Don’t let the world, or even         ourselves, stay focused on the negative; instead see the blessings.
