Walk a Half-Mile or More with Jesus: Monday, June 10
ALL are WELCOME to the National Eucharistic Procession beginning at 2:00PM at the Park and Ride at the corner of Heritage Drive/Draxler’s Drive (South of Kwik Trip/Marshfield). Transportation, leaving from St. John the Baptist Parish parking lot, to the Park ‘n Ride and the 4 Altar Stops along Veterant’s Pkwy will be provided throughout the entire 4.1 mile route. The Eucharistic Procession will conclude with Benediction  at St. John the Baptist Church, Marshfield at 4:30PM.  A Pot Luck Supper follows as well as Mission Exhibits and a presentation on Blessed Brother James Miller (relic will be on site) and Servant of God Fr. Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibit: June 1 – June 11The Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibit, created by Blessed Carlo Acutis, a 14-year-old from Milan, Italy, recounts many well-documented miraculous occurrences, visible proofs of Jesus Christ’s Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist. ALL are WELCOME to the exhibit in which you learn about 80 Eucharistic Miracles.  The exhibit is located in St. John the Baptist School, Marshfield, and will be open on Saturday, June 1,. 8:30AM-10:00AM and 3:00PM-6:30PM; Sunday, June 2, 8:00AM-1:30PM; Monday, June 3 – Thursday, June 6, 7:30AM-9:000AM and 6:00PM-7:30PM; Saturday, June 8,. 8:30AM-10:00AM and 3:00PM-6:30PM; Sunday, June 9, 8:00AM-1:30PM; Monday, June 10, 4:30PM-6:00PM and 8:00PM-9:00PM and Tuesday, June 11, 7:30AM-9:00AM.  A relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis will also be present.  The “Eucharisitc Miracles of the World” book as well as books about Blessed Carlo Acutis will be available for purchase. Eucharistic Adoration and 3:00AM Matins: Monday, June 10 – Tuesday, June 11

Spend a “Holy Hour” with Jesus, the REAL PRESENCE, in the Holy Eucharist, beginning Monday, June 10 at 8:00PM through Tuesday, June 11 at 7:00PM.  During the “Hour of Power” Fr. Robert Thorn will lead Martins (Morning Prayer), offering up prayer intentions for Miracle Healings through the intercession of Servant of God Fr. Joseph Walijewski.  A sign-up sheet can be found at your parish, including an opportunity to submit prayer intentions. Did You Know?? National Eucharistic Pilgrimage Participants, Elders and People with Infirmities Can Receive a Plenary Indulgence

The United States Council of Catholic Bishops have announced that Pope Francis has granted a plenary indulgence for those who participate in the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage between May 17 and July 16, as well as to elders, people with infirmities and “all those who cannot leave their homes for a serious reason and who participate in spirit with the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, uniting their prayers, pains, or inconveniences with Christ and the pilgrimage,” To receive the indulgence, an individual must fulfill the usual conditions: sacramental confession, Communion and prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father. Indulgences are the remission before God of the temporal punishment due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven. The faithful Christian who is duly disposed gains the indulgence under prescribed conditions for either himself or the departed (CCC1471)). National Eucharistic Pilgrimage – Graveside Service for and Presentation on Blessed Brother James Miller: Monday, June 10

Join the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage “perpetual pilgrims”, family, friends, and members of the De La Salle Christian Brothers at St. Martin’s Cemetery in Ellis (East of Stevens Point near Polonia) on Monday, June 10, for a graveside service for Blessed Brother James Miller (Hermano Santiago).  Blessed Brother James Miller, a native of Stevens Point was killed by 3 masked gunmen on February 13, 1982 in Guatemala.  He was beatified by Pope Francis on December 7, 2019.  Fr. Alan Guanella will speak about Blessed James Miller on Monday, June 10 from 6:00 PM-6:50 PM at St. John the Baptist, Marshfield.  Blessed Miller’s relic will be available as well as an opportunity to purchase a book on his life / beatification.. 

Servant of God Fr. Joseph Walijewski Presentation – Monday, June 10

Fr. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk will speak on the life of Servant of God Fr. Joseph Walijewski on Monday, June 10 at 7:00PM-7:50PM at St. John the Baptist, Marshfield. In his time as a priest for the Diocese of La Crosse, “Fr. Joe” served in two assignments as a parish priest in the diocese and two as a missionary priest in South America (Bolivia and Peru).  While serving in Peru, he established Casa Hogar Juan Pablo II, a diocesan sponsored orphanage which continues to serve poor children of Peru to this day.. Fr. Joseph Walijewski died in 2006. He  was named a Servant of God and his cause for canonization was initiated on March 19, 2013.
