On behalf of St. Peter’s Parish Community I am happy to welcome you.

St. Peter’s Church in the City of Stevens Point was founded in 1876.  The city parishes in those days served various ethnic groups, and St. Peter’s originally served the Polish Community, which formed a major portion of the population in this area. This Church is proud of the historical visit by Blessed John Paul II, the late Pope, when he was the Cardinal of Krakow. With its traditional architecture, the interior decoration, and Gothic-style altar, it is beautiful to both look at and pray in.

The specialty of this Church is weekly Eucharistic Adoration. Besides regular spiritual activities administered in the Church, Eucharistic Adoration for 24 hours from Wednesday morning after Mass until Thursday morning before Mass is very significant. People who take turns to visit The Lord during Adoration time, and the young people who come to pray before the Most Holy, are witnesses to the abiding presence of The Lord who imparts His peace and solace to all those who are burdened.

There are pious associations and voluntary groups whose members do their best to help one another grow in faith and live their faith through various works of charity. If you are interested in joining this parish, or have any questions, please get in touch with me or the parish office (715-344-6115). We will be very happy to welcome you with open arms.

Sincerely,

Father Arul Joseph V.
