Our Parish Picnic was just over last weekend. Now it is time for us to remember gratefully the great persons, who have spent several days in planning, organizing and finally in executing it. The chair person of the Picnic, the heads of various departments are those who have been the main instruments of successfully executing the plan. They are to be complimented and appreciated for their sacrifice of their time and talents. Hence, on behalf of the entire Parish community, I thank them very much. It would be a gesture of your personal gratitude, if you personally meet any one of them and express your appreciation for their service.
I also would like to appreciate all the volunteers, who came to work and made our PICNIC weekend possible. I express my heartful thanks to all the sponsors and Club Card members. Your generosity has helped us cover a portion of our expenses, which, in today’s economy, is a huge help!
I cannot forget those who have generously baked various items, those who help to prepare the dinner. Your service was commendable. We have so far received so much positive feedback complimenting our Chicken Dinner, Baked Goods and the items in the Food & Snack Stand. New this year was a very popular sandwich item. A special thanks to Michele’s Restaurant for their generous donation of the delicious shredded beef.
A group of volunteers worked as a team to set-up everything on the previous day of the picnic and to take-down at the end of the picnic to store all of the kids’ games, picnic tables, bar area, Silent Auction, Bake Sale and Concession Stand prep and clean up. We couldn’t do this without you! We especially thank Jeff Patton and Ben Gebeau for their resourcefulness and time into helping everything run smoothly and securely.
I thank everyone who dropped off items to donate to Basket Raffle, Kids’ Games and Silent Auction and/or prepared beautiful and tasty baked goods … thanks for your effort and for sharing your talent. You can’t put a price tag on how much you are appreciated.
Thanks, EVERYONE, for all of your effort! Your willingness, sacrifice and energy are remarkable!
