After Bartimaeus received his sight, we are told that he followed Jesus on the way. With a clear vision, being able to see the way ahead, Bartimaeus could now get up and move forward. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit Jesus continues to open our eyes, giving us an ever-clearer vision of God’s kingdom. This vision becomes our roadmap, revealing the way we are to follow.

Next Saturday, October 30th Catholics from throughout Portage County will gather to paint a picture of the Church God calls us to be. In a special way, we will ask the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and hearts to discern the way Christ is inviting us to follow. Our Deanery Convocation is an opportunity for us to seek a vision for the future so that together we can move forward in Christ.

Registration for the Convocation has been extended through Monday.

You can register online: pointdeanery.org or by filling out the form in the Convocation brochures. The Convocation is being held at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Stevens Point. We begin with Mass at 8:30 am and will conclude at 3:00 pm. That same evening there will be a special Praise and Worship Event at 7:00 pm at St. Bronislava Parish. You do not need to register for the Praise and Worship Event – just come and join us in prayer!
