Today the joy of Easter echoes through the world, proclaiming Christ’s Victory of light and life over the darkness of sin and death. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed, is the song, we sing on this Easter Sunday and during the coming 50 days of the Easter Season. “This is the day the Lord has made: let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).
The event of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the fundamental truth, upon which we build our life of faith and our hope of victory. Since Christ has risen conquering sin and death, we believe that we too with the power of Christ will live. As St. Paul says: “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins” (1Corinthians 15:17).
In this spirit of faith and hope, I wish you and your families a most holy and blessed Easter. May you be filled with peace of the Risen Lord.
